The Power Probe 3 is a handheld, all-in-one automotive circuit tester for diagnosing electrical faults on 12V and 24V DC systems. It combines a digital voltmeter, polarity indicator, continuity tester, signal monitor and a power/ground injector in a single rugged body — replacing the test light, multimeter, jumper wire and continuity tester a workshop would otherwise reach for.
Features & functions
- Supply battery voltage or ground right at the probe tip to power motors, lamps, relays and solenoids — no back-probing the loom
- Digital voltmeter (0–70V) with min/max capture and a backlit LCD reading to 0.1V
- Red/green polarity LEDs and distinct audible tones confirm positive, negative and open circuits
- Two built-in LED work lights illuminate the test area
- Bad-ground indicator flags poor earth connections — a frequent cause of intermittent faults
- Two-level continuity testing (LCD <20kΩ, green LED <600Ω) plus audible signal monitoring
Resettable protection: an 8-amp thermal circuit breaker with a manual reset button guards against accidental shorts — reset and keep working, no blown fuses.
