Live, ground or open — at a glance.
The Power Probe Basic is the entry-level powered circuit tester in the Power Probe range. Connect it to the vehicle battery and instantly see whether a probed point is positive, negative or open via two LED indicators — and supply power or ground at the tip to activate components. No display, no menus: fast go/no-go electrical checks for 6–12V systems.

- Red/green LEDs show circuit status at a glance — RED = positive, GREEN = negative/ground, no light = open circuit
- Supply battery power or ground at the probe tip to activate motors, lamps, relays and solenoids
- Switch latch holds the output on for constant power without keeping the rocker pressed
- Continuity testing of fuses, switches, relays, diodes and wires via the auxiliary ground lead
- Bad-ground detection to quickly locate faulty earth connections
- Short-circuit protected with an automatic, self-resetting breaker
- Removable 4 mm banana-jack probe tip — standard size, so third-party leads and adapters fit
